George Devlin RSW, RGI, FRSA, RBA, ROI, ARWS

Born 1937

1955 - 1960		Glasgow School of Art
		- Awarded Robert Hart Bursary, Post Diploma and the Haldane Scholarship
		- Studied and painted in Greece and Italy
1964		Elected a Member of The Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour
1971		Awarded the Cargill Award, The Royal Glasgow Institute
1977		Elected Chairman of The Glasgow League of Artists
1989		Elected a Member of The Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts
1997		Elected President of The Glasgow Arts Club
1999		Elected a Member of The Royal Society of the Arts
2003		Elected an Associate Member of The Royal Institute of Oil Painters
2004		Elected a Member of The Royal Institute of Oil Painters
		Elected a Full Member of The Royal Institute of Oil Painters
		Awarded the Gold Medal of The Royal Institute of Oil Painters
2006		Awarded the Vivis Award of The Royal Society of British Artists
